Development & Communications

This department is responsible for managing the League's fundraising and communications efforts. The League is funded through a variety of sources including membership dues (individual, business and community partners), general contributions, grants and contracts, the United Way and other workplace giving programs, and fundraising events such as the annual Equal Opportunity Day (EOD) Dinner. The EOD Dinner is the League's main fundraising event that also honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the cause of equality in one or more of the League's focus areas--education, employment and economic development. For more information about the EOD Dinner, call (503) 280-2611 or visit Events.

The Urban League of Portland is a member-based organization. Membership contributions provide vital support for the League's programs, outreach and advocacy. For more information about becoming a member of the League, call (503) 280-2611 or visit Membership.
